چکیده

Radiatively-induced neutrino mass matrix is investigated within the framework of an SU(5) SUSY GUT model. The model has matter fields of three families 5L(+)i +5L(+)i in addition to the ordinary matter fields 5L(−)i +10L(+)i and Higgs fields H(+)+H(0), where (+, 0,−) denote the transformation properties (ω, ω, ω) (ω = +1) under a discrete symmetry Z3. R-parity violating terms are given by 5L(+)5L(+)10L(+), while the Yukawa interactions are given by H(0)5L(−)10L(+), i.e. the 5-fields in both are different from each other. The Z3 symmetry is only broken by the terms 5L(+)i5L(+)i softly, so that the 5L(+)i ↔ 5L(−)i mixings appear at μ < MX . Of the R-parity violating terms 5L(+)5L(+)10L(+), only the terms (eLν−νLe)e c R sizably appear at μ < MX . PACS numbers: 14.60.Pq; 12.60.Jv; 11.30.Hv; 11.30.Er;

Determining See-Saw Parameters from Weak Scale Measurements?

The see-saw mechanism is a very attractive explanation for small neutrino masses, parametrized at the GUT scale by the right-handed Majorana mass matrix, M, and the neutrino Yukawa matrix, Yν . We show that in a SUSY model with universal soft terms, M and Yν can be calculated from the light neutrino masses, the MNS matrix, and Y νYν , which enters into the left-handed slepton radiative correcti...

Gauge Coupling Unification and Neutrino Masses in 5d Susy So(10)

In this talk I discuss the problems and virtues of SUSY GUTs in four dimensions. I then show how to solve some of these problems, without foregoing the virtues, by considering an SO(10) SUSY GUT in five dimensions. I discuss gauge coupling unification and neutrino masses. In particular, it is shown that the 5D compactification scale and cutoff scale are determined by fitting the low energy valu...

Neutrino Masses and SO(10) SUSY GUTs

In this talk I discuss the qualitative features of an SO(10) SUSY GUT with an SU(2)x U(1) family symmetry. I then describe the global fit of this theory to precision electroweak data [including charged fermion masses and mixing angles]. Finally, the predictions of the model for neutrino masses and mixing are discussed. The most predictive version of the model naturally fits atmospheric neutrino...

Quasi-Degenerate Neutrinos and Lepton Flavor Violation in Supersymmetric Models

In supersymmetric (SUSY) models the misalignment between fermion and sfermion families introduces unsuppressed flavor-changing processes. Even if the mass parameters are chosen to give no flavor violation, family dependent radiative corrections make this adjustment not stable. We analyze the rate of l → lγ in SUSY-GUT models with three quasi-degenerate neutrinos and universal scalar masses at t...

Neutrino Masses and Mixing Angles in SUSY-GUT Theories with explicit R-Parity Breaking

In minimal SUSY GUT models the R-parity breaking terms are severely constrained by SU(5) gauge invariance. We consider the particular case where the explicit R-parity breaking occurs only via dimension 2 terms of the superpotential. This model possesses only three R-parity breaking parameters. We have studied the predictions of this model for the neutrino masses and mixing angles at the one-loo...

Flavor and CP Violation Induced by Atmospheric Neutrino Mixing

After discovery of the atmospheric neutrino oscillation by the superKamiokande experiment in 98’ [1], it is found that the lepton sector has much different flavor structure from the quark sector [2][3]. The seesaw mechanism is the most promising model to explain the tiny neutrino masses and the neutrino oscillation [4]. However, the observed mixing angles between the first and second and betwee...
